Book Trust Story Time Project

We were delighted to take part in the Book Trust Story time project and receive the six books chosen to share with our pre-school children, along with resources and activity ideas. Story times took place in the library and we also visited our local pre-school.
Each session shared a story, songs and action rhymes…
The story books appealed to different ages and were enjoyed by all. They loved the rhyming, animal antics, countryside themes and ideas of friendship woven within the text. At the end of the six weeks the children voted on what was their favourite book and our results were sent back to the Book Trust.
The children voted for The Duck who didn’t like water as their overall favourite with Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry and Can you Tickle a Tiger very popular runners up!
The overall winner for 2023 and receiving the Book Trust Story time prize was Can you Tickle a Tiger written by Bobbie Brooks and illustrated by Carrie Hennon.
